The ZWO Seestar S50 Pro Smart Telescope brings powerful astrophotography and intelligent stargazing together in an easy-to-use, all-in-one system. Building on the popular Seestar S50, the S50 Pro introduces major upgrades including 4K dual-camera imaging, a larger 1/1.2-inch telephoto sensor, 50mm APO optics, advanced Milky Way imaging, Equatorial Mode, 128GB storage and up to 9 hours of battery life.
At the heart of the S50 Pro is a 50mm f/5.2 telephoto optical system with a 260mm focal length and a four-element apochromatic lens incorporating ED glass. Combined with an 8.3MP 1/1.2-inch sensor, it provides enhanced light-gathering capability and detailed views of nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, the Moon and Sun.
4K Dual-Camera Imaging
The S50 Pro combines two 8.3MP cameras for both detailed telephoto observations and expansive wide-field astrophotography. The telephoto camera offers a 2.8° field of view, while the integrated wide-angle camera provides a huge 63° field of view. Both support 4K UHD capture, giving you the flexibility to photograph detailed deep-sky targets as well as sweeping star fields and the Milky Way.
Smart GOTO & Automatic Tracking
Choose an object through the Seestar app and the S50 Pro can automatically locate and track your target. Its extensive celestial-object database makes finding interesting targets straightforward, even for users who are new to astronomy.
The upgraded precision drive system also supports Equatorial Mode, helping compensate for Earth's rotation for more stable tracking and longer exposures.
Milky Way & Star Trail Photography
The integrated wide-angle camera opens up new creative possibilities. Starry Sky Mode supports multiple Milky Way stitching options, including automated Milky Way arch imaging and high-resolution stitching.
The S50 Pro can also create long-exposure star trails and turn captures into dynamic videos showing the movement of the night sky over time.
DSO Mosaic Stitching
For larger deep-sky objects, telephoto mosaic capture can automatically combine multiple frames to provide a wider field of view while retaining telephoto detail. Mosaic images can be produced at resolutions of up to 8K.
Intelligent Image Processing
Built-in processing helps turn captured data into finished astrophotography images without requiring a complicated desktop workflow. One-tap processing is complemented by more advanced controls including star reduction, star removal, cropping, brightness, contrast, noise reduction and saturation adjustments.
Plan Mode
Plan Mode makes extended imaging sessions easier by allowing the S50 Pro to automatically work through multiple targets. Shooting plans can be generated and the telescope can automatically switch between selected celestial objects throughout the session.
Sun, Moon & Daytime Observation
The Seestar S50 Pro isn't limited to deep-sky astrophotography. It can capture lunar surface detail and solar activity when used with the included magnetic solar filter. It can also function as a powerful telephoto viewing camera for daytime subjects such as birds and distant landscapes.
Longer Battery Life & 128GB Storage
A built-in 10,000mAh battery provides up to 9 hours of operation under ZWO's specified test conditions, making the S50 Pro well suited to extended observing sessions.
Internal storage has also been increased to 128GB eMMC, with approximately 100GB available to the user after system allocation.
